Before we getting started let me say Thanks to my Mentor “Mr. Deepak Kanakraju”
for another amazing learning session focused on “Learn-Do-Teach” concept the
Success Mantra.

As Deepak Sir introduced the ‘Learn-Do-Teach‘ system. When you teach, you understand things in a better way. He said that whatever you learn and understand, you should implement it by doing it and then try to share the knowledge by teaching. By teaching others, you improve your communication skills.
The area that we covered in this session, is
to find, understand and target the right audience. And what better way than to
create a CUSTOMER AVATAR.
1.
“Marketing is all about Building
Trust and Communication”
People buy from People and not the Product, Deepak has
shared a perfect analogy of childhood friend with whom we have build trust over
the period of time , at present during lock-down there are several companies
who have started communication about their contribution towards social
responsibility , isn't it a Trust building factor among all the employees and
market ?
One of the best way to build Trust is to become a good
1:1 communicator, If you can’t communicate 1:1, “You Can’t Communicate 1: Many”
and simple way to do that is being honest, simple, self-trust worthy and
authentic person.
People are tired of fake people with social persons. Everyone
is attracted to someone real so please “Be Authentic to your Customer to
Communicate Better”. As Deepak Kanakraju Says.
Be Authentic like “Lt. Irfan Khan”. He is not with
us anymore because he is passed away due to Cancer Disease. I give a big
tribute to him & will proud to be one of his Fan. He was a very authentic person
as a finest Actor as well in his movies Like: Life of a Pie, Piku, Hindi Medium
& the last one is English Medium as well.
“More you will be Honest to every
Individual, More you will gain #MassTrust”
Points to Build
Trust
·
1 Customer 1 Time : Give Personal touch to every
customer
·
Connect with heart, connect with mentally first
·
Know the Customer’s need first
·
Then Give the Customer what they want not what you have
·
Help them beyond their Imagination
·
Build relationship between you and your customer to
build the Trust
·
Take feedback after selling the product
Authenticity is one of the key
important factor to build your brand image, as there are so many “Fake Gurus”
are available Free of Cost Advisors, being an authentic person will always help
you to Stand Alone
Don’t worry about the mistakes in the journey as
“Mistakes are Future Benefits- Deepak Kanakaraju”
2. “What Makes You a Better Marketer & a Good Salesman”?
Before going to the war, you need to
keep your skills in the top level. You need to understand your weak points and
learn the art to excel there.
In the world of Digital Marketing, the
world MARKETER and SALESMAN, are synonymous to
each other. You are not a GOOD Digital Marketer if you haven’t
honed your salesmanship skills.
So these are some very basic tips and
tricks to be a better Marketer in the digital space where you get a rainbow of
audience and you need to be more dynamic in your approach:
·
Have
more life experiences
·
Travel
·
Learn
new languages.
·
Try to
do new things and learn new cultures.
*TARGET THE RIGHT AUDIENCE:
3. “How to Understand your Customer, Define your Target Audience.”
All the above points will lead to a +1 in
our sales list, with every single customer trusting in us with our
conversation, communication and the way we make them feel connected.
But since the digital
space is evolving every second, our ideas and thought processes should also be
formed and updated continuously and dynamically. And the below 3 points will
help us in achieving this goal:
·
Interactions
·
Surveys
·
Calls
All these, will help us to create our CUSTOMER
AVATAR.
A Customer Avatar is nothing but a virtual
customer which is a result of our surveys, interactions and calls: it helps us
form the structure of our communication, organizing the points we will
communicate about and have a conversation that will help in trust building
because we know the customer in and out and know the pain points of our
customer in the form of the Customer Avatar.
The reason we need to have a customer avatar
is as our mentor Deepak Kanakaraju says:
“IF EVERYONE IS YOUR AUDIENCE, NO ONE IS YOUR AUDIENCE.”
So, this was our Class 2 in the Digital
Deepak Internship, where we tried to find, understand and target our audience
and be a better marketer.
I have a small survey made for you, to
understand how do you see the digital learning space, the choices you want and
a little more. It will take less than 5 minutes of your precious time, but
really help me create good content on Mind Maps and Mental Productivity.
*FINDING THE CUSTOMER AVATAR:
As the Second part of my Assignment I Create a Customer Avatar Survey to understand who is actually my customer.
As you can see, the customer avatar
defines our whole set of target audience: so it’s very important to understand
it and hence we can say that finding and understanding our customer avatar is
the key to understand our audience.
So concepts done, let’s see a small
practical example.
I did a quick survey to understand
about my micro-niche: “Sales Productivity”.
I designed
10 specific questions: actually 8 to be precise, as the first asks for the name
of the person taking the survey. So let’s go through this 8 questions, see the
response and try to find our customer avatar.
I got total
16 responses on my customer avatar survey. Which
results has been shown in below slides.
You can
also take the survey on identifying that who would be our Targeted Customer by
clinking the below link:
Click here to fill the Customer
Avatar Survey form for help us to identifying the right Audience.
The Topics
of the Customer Survey form and their Results for finding our customer Avatar
are as follows:
1. AGE
Defining Age
The average age of the people who took the survey was
around 31. So, from here we take the age of our customer avatar to be 31.
2. IN WHICH CITY THEY LIVE
Defining Address
According to the last question the age of our customer
avatar to be 31. & the customer
who’s age is 31 if living at Indore. So our customer avatar is to be from
Indore (Madhya Pradesh).
3.
DO THEY LIKE SHOPPING
As of the audience that I target for the Survey, 100%
of replied yes, when asked do they like Shopping?
Hence my target customer to be Shopaholic.
Understanding Preference
As of the audience that I target for the Survey, 87.5%
of replied that they like to shop online via e-commerce portal, when asked that
which type of shopping do they prefer?
Hence my target customer to be Interested in online shopping.
5.
WHICH E-COMMERCE PORTAL DO THEY PREFER
Understanding Preference
As of the audience that I target for the Survey, 62.5%
of replied Amazon, when asked that which type of e-commerce portal do they
prefer for online shopping.
Hence my target customer to be Interested to shop at Amazon.
6. WHAT DO THEY THINK ABOUT ONLINE SHOPPING
Understanding the Thinking about Online Shopping
According the survey my target customer is always
enjoying the shopping at online store as is much easier, secure & time
saving.
7.
HOW WOULD THEY RATE THE ONLINE
SHOPPING
Understanding the Opinion for Online Shopping
As I asked for the rating for an online store on a
scale of 10, at how would they rate the online shopping? And the average of the
rating result as they given to it is 7.6.
And as my target customer is given the rating is 10
out of 10 to the online shopping.
8.
DO THEY RECOMMEND OTHERS TO SHOP
ONLINE
Understanding the Recommendations
As I asked for the recommendation for an online store,
as 93.8% of replied Yes, when asked that do they recommend the online shopping
to their friends & family members?
And according to the survey report my target customer
will always recommend others to shop at online store.
So, all we need now is a name for our Customer Avatar according to the result of our survey:
Let’s call her POOJA.
So, this was a small
example of how to build your customer avatar.
Customer
Avatar is a practical concept and the best to understand your audience.
This is the result when you have a mentor
like Deepak Kanakaraju
as known as Digital
Deepak
